Imagine staying at one of the five most beautiful places in the world and watching the sunset from the balcony. In this post, I will tell you everything about the beautiful ‘Gîtes La Différence’, a wheelchair accessible accommodation in The Auvergne in France.

In a little village called ‘La Brousse’, you can find this fully wheelchair accessible house for a maximum of 8 people. The owners really know what accessibility means and how important it is, they tried to make it as accessible as possible for everyone. My favorite part of this house is the private-heated swimming pool with a full access ramp with railings on both sides.
Besides the fact that the house is accessible, it is also in a beautiful location with breathtaking views. The house is located in a village called ‘La Brousse’ and is part of the community of Augerolles. It is located in the region called ‘The Auvergne’. The Auvergne is also known as the lungs of France, and there are many landscapes to see such as volcanoes, forests, mountains, and valleys. More about some accessible activities? On the first floor, you will find an accessible bedroom, an accessible bathroom, and a guestroom. In the accessible bedroom, you will find two electric high-low beds with waterproof mattresses. Also, the bathroom on the first floor is fully accessible and equipped with a shower chair with back and arm support.
Now I hear you thinking, is there more? Yes, there is definitely more, because there’s also a second floor that’s fully accessible. On this floor, you will find the living room and the beautiful open kitchen with a wheelchair accessible sink. After cooking your favorite meal, you can choose to sit at the dining table inside or at the table on the outdoor terrace and watch the sunset while having some dinner.
Here you will find one accessible bedroom, an accessible bathroom, and one more guest room. The bedroom on the first floor is equipped with the same adaptions as on this floor, however, the bathroom isn’t exactly the same as on the first floor. In this bathroom you will find an electric shower stretcher, which is amazing if you can’t sit on a shower chair.

You can book this beautiful accessible house for an all-inclusive price from €1395 – €1895 a week, depending on the season. Check-in will be on Saturday at 3 PM and check-out on Saturday at 10 AM.
I’d love to give this Gîtes La Différence a 5 out of 5-star rating. It’s an amazing place to visit, and the accessibility is very good. It’s all-inclusive with the standard medical equipment, which takes away a lot of worries. The heated swimming pool is an amazing feature since it’s very easily accessible by the ramp.
